Primary school is an important turning point in a child’s life. During this transitional stage, young children will face  changes in learning, life and interpersonal relationship. In order to do a good job in the transition from kindergarten to primary school, and prevent the excessive anxiety of parents, from 9th to 15th June, the Primary Section received more than 2,000 teachers, students and parents from Friendly Kindergarten.
First and foremost, in order to successfully organize this activity, help the children who will soon enter the first grade to adapt to the new learning and life style as soon as possible, and meet the chldren’s yearning for primary school life, the Primary Section designed a novel and substantial program of activities, and made a thorough arrangement. Additionally, the teachers of the Primary Section warmly received the children, teachers and parents of Friendly Kindergarten with smiles on their posts.
Moreover, during the activity, everyone successively watched the flag-raising ceremony of the students with the Primary Section, their daily sentence learning and morning exercises, visited the campus and the classes in Grade 1, and experienced the classroom teaching. In the experience class, the teachers used vivid language and created rich problem situations to stimulate children’s interest in learnig. More noticeably, the teachers and children interacted frequently so that the children were active in the classroom, which fully let them experience the happiness of learning. In the meantime, parents deeply understood the differences between kindergarten teaching and primary school teaching. Evidently, the children were all excited. The visit, which lasted more than an hour, left a deep impression on the children.
Last but not the least, the teachers, students and parents of Friendly Kindergarten took photos, which left good memories and started the dream journey.
In conclusion, through this experience activity, the kindergarteners observed, listened to, experienced, and learned about the primary school life in advance, thus reducing the strangeness and mystery of primary school, which inspired the children’s vision and yearning for their primary school life even more.
